                    Murshidabad Krishi Vigyan Kendra was established in 2006 located at Digha, Milebasa, Bhagwangola, Murshidabad, West Bengal. It functions under the Administrative control of West Bengal University of Animal & Fishery Sciences, 37 & 68, Kshudiram Bose Sarani, Belgachia, Kolkata-700037.

                    Murshidabad KVK aims at a socio-economically healthier rural Murshidabad through dissemination of Technology in various aspects of agriculture, by training, demonstrations and on farm trails. Krishi Vigyan Kendra acts as light house of desired agricultural knowledge & information to the farming community. The prime objective of the Kendra is to communicate the latest technology & information to the farmers through the principles of "Learning by Doing" & "Seeing is Believing". KVK also act as single window server for agriculture and rural development. KVK serve as a repository of scientific knowledge that is useful to the entire district. KVK is working in the field of Agriculture & allied sector, such as Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Science, Fishery & Home Science. KVK's mandate is to work with farmers, farm workers and rural youth directly as well as through field extension functionaries to make them more efficient, specialized and to be economically active. We are working in the line of multi disciplinary mode. We have adopted different approaches for holistic dissemination of Technology through forward linkages between farmers' organization & development departments. We also initiating different steps for protection of land races of plant/animal/fisheries/spices. Your suggestion is valuable and will only enrich us.
